We Couldn't Say No to Caroline Cho ... Divisi's 200th Bride Winner!

Congratulations Caroline Cho for being Divisi Strings' 200th Big Day booking in 2010!

After the tremendous success of this year's bridal show, we were amazed and delighted that so many brides chose Divisi to play a part in their big day. We wanted to extend this enthusiasm to our 200th by giving her 50% off any group we offer. January felt like only yesterday with all of the hard work we've put into our business this year, and when April was almost upon us, we never anticipated having 200 bookings in the first quarter! On the afternoon of the 31st, when we had just reached 199, Caroline Cho became our 200th bride for 2010.

She chose a harp trio, consisting of harp, violin, and cello. This elegant ambience will resonate through the Houstonian's Aspen Ballroom, and accompany Caroline in her Parvani Vida dress down the beautifully decorated aisle. The reception will switch gears featuring a slammin' performance by Eclipse! All events of this magnificent night will be captured by Ashley K and meticulously orchestrated by Samantha Darr of soiree bliss!

We would like to thank Caroline, and every bride that invites Divisi to play a part of your big day. As you know we take immense care in providing the perfect music for your event. We are so thankful for the response this year to our service in Houston, Austin, and Dallas.

Classical Hip Hop

The string quartet has a long history in the world of classical music, and has only recently taken up residence in the wedding community. Canon in D, Bridal Chorus, and Trumpet Voluntary are the “Big 3” of traditional processionals. Even in today’s modern world, brides are choosing their music selections from very short lists.

But what about those brides who are trying to break out of traditional
venues, traditional dresses, and even traditional cakes!

Divisi Strings' Amp’d Quartet provides a freedom of choice for many brides that was not available even just a couple of years ago. Whether you are trying to create a personal playlist with songs that hold deep meaning to your relationship or you are looking to let loose with today’s radio hits, we are ready and willing to meet the needs of our clients. Our list of music continues to grow and currently includes hits from The Beatles, Coldplay, Michael Jackson, Jay-Z, Kanye West, Shania Twain, Jason Mraz, Beyonce, The Cure, Nine Inch Nails, and more! We’ve even had one bride who wanted to take it back to the 80’s with Journey, Sting, The Clash, and the theme from the movie “Ghost”. Click
hereto visit the Amp’d page and listen to our music.

The most popular way brides are taking advantage of Amp’d is by having classical music for the prelude & ceremony and then using the quartet to its full potential as the perfect transition piece between the ceremony and the reception.

You can come see the Amp’d Quartet at any of our upcoming open houses:

The Gallery Open House
March 19, 2010, 5:30-8:30 pm
6303 Beverly Hill Street
Houston, Texas 77057

THE ENGAGEMENT: The VOW to Raise Kidney Awareness
March 28, 2010, 7:00-10:00 pm
The Heights Theater
339 West 19th St.
Houston, TX 77008

Amp’d Quartet has been a hot commodity in Houston’s wedding community since it was formerly launched in August 2009 and we are even making our way up to Austin and Dallas (travel rates do apply). If you are looking to add those little details or make a big splash that your guests are going to love, call us at 713.229.8663. Amp’d is a select group of musicians and the calendar is filling up fast.
